Rethinking AI: Fireside chat with Laurent Solly
GTPN and Cercle Alma have the pleasure of inviting you to a fireside chat with Laurent Solly,
Co-founder and COO of Advanced Machine Intelligence,
followed by an AI experts' panel discussion and a reception cocktail.
Thursday 4 June, at 19h00
On 4th June, GTPN and Cercle Alma will have the honour of welcoming Laurent Solly for an exceptional closed-door fireside chat. Former Chief of Staff to French President Nicolas Sarkozy before transitioning into the technology and media sector, Laurent Solly has held leading roles at TF1 and later at Meta, where he served as Vice President Europe in his latest position. Throughout his career, he has been at the crossroads of public policy, media transformation, digital innovation, and the governance challenges created by technological disruption.
Laurent Solly is now Co-founder and COO of AMI Labs, co-founded by Yann LeCun - AI pioneer, Turing Award–winning scientist, and former Chief AI Scientist at Meta. AMI Labs develops “world models” as a foundational approach to next-generation artificial intelligence and recently raised $1 billion at a $3.5 billion valuation, marking one of the largest early-stage AI financing rounds to date.
This conversation will provide a unique opportunity to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping power structures, economic models and geopolitical balances at a moment of profound global transition.
The fireside chat will be followed by an AI experts’ panel with Arthur Barichard, Julie Owono and Léo Hamon.

Arthur Barichard, Director of the French AI and Digital Council (CIANum)
French digital policy expert with a strong focus on AI governance. He joined the CIANum in January 2026 after ten years at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where he served as deputy to France's Ambassador for Digital Affairs and AI. He played a central role in preparing the Paris Summit for Action on AI in February 2025, leading France's work on global AI governance.
Julie Owono, Executive Director at Internet Sans Frontières; Meta Oversight Board
French-Cameroonian lawyer and digital rights advocate. An inaugural member of the Meta Oversight Board since 2020, she contributes to binding decisions on complex content moderation cases across Facebook and Instagram, with a focus on balancing freedom of expression and harmful content. She also founded the Content Policy & Society Lab, incubated at Stanford University.
Léo Hamon, Head of Government Affairs at Salesforce
Léo Hamon is a government affairs professional focused on AI and digital policy. He joined Salesforce in 2026 after nearly six years at IBM. At Salesforce, he leads government relations in France at a time when the company is positioning itself around AI and the agentic enterprise.
The discussion will address key questions including:
• How AI is transforming the foundations of economic productivity, labour, and value creation
• The emergence of new geopolitical balances driven by technological leadership and compute sovereignty
• The evolving relationship between regulation and innovation
• The societal implications of increasingly autonomous and general-purpose AI systems
• Whether current institutional and governance frameworks remain adapted to the acceleration of technological change
The evening will conclude with a reception cocktail designed to foster dialogue and meaningful exchanges between the members of Cercle Alma and GTPN, as well as leading voices from technology, policy, finance, entrepreneurship, and academia.
We are looking forward to welcoming you!
