Valérie Faillat

As a seasoned executive with over 30 years of global experience in healthcare, I currently serve as Global Healthcare Senior Advisor, providing strategic guidance and high-level expertise to senior leaders and decision-makers. Drawing on my extensive background as Executive Director in both large for-profit organizations and social entrepreneurship/philanthropy-driven divisions, I deliver actionable insights that drive innovation and positive change.
I have spearheaded international drug development and registration projects, including acceleration strategies such as WHO prequalification, orphan drugs, and early access programs. My leadership has also extended to critical access-to-care initiatives across malaria, pediatric oncology, maternal health, and vulnerable populations facing crises, homelessness, and migration.
In addition to my global work, I contribute as a member of the French Academy of Pharmacy, advising on key pharmaceutical issues through evidence-based recommendations.
As a non-executive leader, I bring a wealth of governance experience, having served as General Delegate, General Secretary, board member, and President. My strategic acumen, combined with a deep understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), enables me to provide comprehensive, cross-functional expertise to boards of directors, grounded in both international experience and a strong sense of purpose.
I have successfully led initiatives addressing critical issues such as gender equality, social inclusion for refugees and migrants, climate change adaptation (emerging diseases), and the circular economy. My leadership is marked by a collaborative approach, bold decision-making, and a steadfast commitment to driving meaningful impact.
Currently, I serve as a board member of a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, contributing to its strategic direction and governance, particularly in the areas of ESG. In addition, as Chairwoman of RSE & Development, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting CSR across Africa, I leverage my global expertise to drive sustainable and socially responsible growth.
