A meeting with Governor Anies Baswedan
Mr Anies Baswedan is an Indonesian academic, activist, and politician. Since 2017, he has served as the Governor of Jakarta. He was previously Rector of Paramadina University and Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Mr Baswedan is passionate about developing modern, productive, and sustainable global cities through multi-stakeholder collaboration.
In this conference, Governor Baswedan will present some of the policies implemented by his administration concerning mobility and transportation, food subsidy programs, and risk management in coastal areas.
Co-Chair of the Urban 20, he will also discuss comparative challenges that cities are facing including pandemic health and economic recovery, climate, and rising structural inequalities.
